Life is filled with lots of sales but how many times are we sold on ourselves? Even more, how often do we sell us to ourselves? At times destiny is best written in pencil, not ink. Humans are creatures of habit, but habits can change. When we need to change things in our life, if we wait too long, life will change on us. If those habits are bad, undoubtedly people around us will leave, either physically, emotionally, or both.

It is tempting to think, it is too late for me. If we look at it like that, it is hard to go far while looking back. Let go of the past and move on from it. Care less for yesterday. Where are we going today? Set a new course, away from what was, move out from neutral, and live better. We were created to be and do. It does not matter if no one in our family tree has done or failed to do, we are able to break any mold. But this is not to say it will be easy. It takes zero effort to become nothing but all our effort to become someone great.

People see examples of greatness but many who became great never sought it. They simply became more, climbed higher, reached farther, pushed beyond the limitations placed on themselves by others and even themselves. Sometimes it just takes resisting the urge to be average. It is easy to single out people who worked harder than others. If they had not been who they were, would we be who we are today?

Recognize the value in one sale. A sale can range from a five-cent candy to a fifty-million-dollar house but when we sell us on ourselves, it is priceless gift to our own lives. When we genuinely believe in ourselves, the entire world can doubt us, and it will not matter. Others will try to sell us, on who knows what, but none of that matters when we are already sold on ourselves. It is time you believed in you.
