Life is not always about solving problems but learning to grow through them. Problems make us grow. We should not have the same problems at fifty years old as we had at five. Trouble makes us find out what is inside of us. Before baby birds are born, they are stuck in the egg. But they cannot stay there, and eventually must hatch. Momma bird covers them at first but eventually they have to grow up and fend for themselves. If forever comfortable in the nest, one day they will find out that momma bird will not always be there. No one is going to love them like momma bird, unless they learn to care for themselves.

Opportunities are born in adversity. This is one of the reasons we must not hide from challenges. When we first face an obstacle, we try to conquer it. Sometimes in trying to overcome them, what we are really overcoming is the limitations within ourselves. Mountain climbers know this because as they climb higher, the air becomes thinner, which makes it harder to breathe. Waiting on the atmosphere to change is foolish because there are situations in life where the atmosphere will never change. It is we who must adapt, not everything around us.

While paying attention during the tough times, we can observe the most amazing creativity come out of a crisis. When challenges come our way, it often awakens survival instincts, which force us into action we might not have otherwise done. After every invention or service has been offered, someone comes along with a new idea that changes everything. It is simply amazing to watch.

While attempting to resolve problems, many people have discovered something completely different that brings a marketable value to society. Problems need solutions and those who solve them are often well rewarded. Life at this point in history seems to be majorly influenced by convenience. People pay more for convenience when it saves them time, a commodity which is irreplaceable.

Recognize the value in one obstacle. It is never a question of whether we will face obstacles, it is only a matter of time. At first, the person we are in this moment may not be enough to overcome the obstacle. But do not worry, for the act of becoming is something humanity is all too familiar with. We adapt, changing into whatever it is that we need in order to survive and thrive. Do not choose to see an obstacle as something insurmountable. Self-educate with knowledge and wisdom and grow into something else, well able to overcome whatever happens next.
