An undisciplined life is one of trouble. If we have no objectives in life, who knows where we will end up. We cannot be wishy-washy because life is precious. The world has countless people who have sought more life and were denied, whether it was of time or health. Something is always after our focus, and it requires diligence to stay on top of these things. What are we currently doing that is not bearing good fruit? How much energy is wasted on meaningless tasks?

Reasons and disciplines are what help change people’s lives. When someone or something is important to us, evidence of that should be manifested in our lives. In the exact place in time, at the location we are at, what is critical? While driving, it should be paying attention to the road. If we are with family, then it calls for time for us to put away our phones and stop working. We dedicate time for what we value, and everyone knows it.

It is not enough to say we will do better. We must tie affirmative words to actions that back them up. How else will others have solid evidence, a reason to believe us? We must keep producing, no matter what. When production ceases, the end is near. Ever stop to think of why rewards come in the first place? It is never because someone did absolutely nothing. If we think our way through everything, it does help, but too much thinking can also hinder.

Logic makes us think, but emotions make us do. It is logical that a family should have shelter to protect them from the elements and food to nourish them. But feeling the pain of how much it would hurt them to go without is what stirs us into action. All our resources must be devoted to doing whatever is in our power to do, to provide for them and give them the best we are able to. Feeling the pain of regret for not having done more creates a driving force to push ourselves to do more.

Recognize the value in one objective. Our future is trapped inside of us, and we are the only one who can free it. Putting it off is the easiest way to hinder us from what we should be doing. There is a danger in the snooze button because it gives us a temporary way out. Repeatedly taking an alternate way out, ushers in a choice. By always giving ourselves a choice, we will forever wrestle with which door to take. Only one door can be walked through at a time. By choosing only to see one door, the back and forth thought process is no longer a hinderance. All our energy can be thrust into one objective, one pursuit that is worth of our effort. Learn the value of one objective and make it count!
