Not much can replace the value of wisdom. We may be born ignorant, but we do not have to stay that way. If we do, then that is mostly on us. Life gives us hints, similar to hints in trivia. These words will paint a picture that should help steer us in the right direction. We are always learning one way or another, although some still opt in for the hard way by doing it their way.
The hard way often comes on the path of ignorance. A great deal of pain will come our way if we do not learn. Learning is what bridges the gap between the known and unknown. Not knowing can hurt really bad. Ever do something like touch a hot stove top and immediate regret it? It is curious why we tend to ignore the warnings of others so much and stubbornly push forward with our own way, the “right” way. Life will look on with amusement and allow our foolishness to reign.
When a person becomes teachable, it changes the way they make decisions. Millions have gone before us. Why not use their knowledge to our benefit? When hints come our way, we must try not to blindly ignore them, thinking that we know everything. After humbly admitting we do not know or understand, a teacher will often arise shortly afterward to guide us on the right path.
Life will stretch us if we allow it. Ever been pushed into a small situation that challenged you? By learning and going through the trivial things, it often leads to big results. Not all advice is good but nonetheless, we should still take it into consideration before discarding it. Someone may be trying to teach us a valuable lesson, which could help us avoid trouble altogether.
Recognize the value in one hint. Remaining stubbornly ignorant is obviously a choice. If it seems unbelievable, just look around. Eventually, we will cross paths with someone that lives that way. But it is best not to live like that. Whether we want to be taught or not, life is teaching us every day.
