It does not have to be a facility built with iron bars to keep us locked up. Sometimes we are imprisoned in our minds, trapped in a belief system that does not serve us. In such a system, life does not get any better. Its victims are rewarded with no money, sickness, and suffering. They simply have no vision for a different life, for what could be. This system is working against them and refuses to let them be free.

We would be dissatisfied with life if there was only one channel. How do we see where we are in this point of our lives? Is it everything we hoped for? If not, then change the vision. It does not require that we say all that we see around us, but it does take acknowledging where we are and then deciding which path we would like to take to get to a new destination. They say that seeing is believing but actually it is less than believing. If we can see it already, then it takes no faith or courage to do something different. We have to choose to believe in spite of what we see, especially when circumstances paint an ugly picture.

There will come flashes of a new future, a glimpse of something better to hold on to. Whatever it is, it must be greater than our past and present for us to pursue it. The future destination helps push us forward, past all the excuses and procrastination that inevitably want to hold us back. A limited vision is not able to see far into the future. But every word added to it makes the vision clearer than before.

Words paint a picture, so paint the most vivid picture of a new vision for life, with the intricacy and most thought-out definition of clarity. Use imagination to build the desired life. Once enough of the picture is revealed, one can see a vision of it. Our minds are always trying to see something, but what exactly are we looking at? A worthwhile vision takes diligence, persistence, and the pursuit until the end result is accomplished. Rise to that vision.

What does the future hold? One can never fully tell, nor is it promised. The average person never truly discovers themself, but only a shallow version of all that they could become. One of the reasons is because they lose the vision for their life. Circumstances got the best of them, and they have given up. In other cases, unforeseeable events brought on by others may have derailed their future. It takes vision to see far. Sight is where everyone else gets left behind while those that have vision await the rest in the future.

There are times when we need to adjust. Sometimes we see better at a distance. It is easier to judge when far away and unable to see the details. At other times, we must look more closely. Is our lens too wide, then it may need focusing. Life does not always make sense until we see the whole picture, in its entirety and clearly in focus. What we view determines what we will do. Having vision will require plenty of faith and sacrifice. It will cause others to look at us strangely because they cannot see what we see in our mind’s eye. For this reason, we have to protect our vision because it can easily be destroyed.

Recognize the value in one vision. Vision gives purpose in pain and direction in uncertainty. We remember the visionary minds of teachers who stretched us into something greater than when they first met us. There are those that have visionary minds but just may not realize it. Mentors will help bring out the vision within them. For others, they must do it alone. What we seek may be beyond ourselves, but it takes vision to get us there. What can we see for our future? One vision can get us there but only if we can see it first.
